About the role:

We are looking for a creative and self-motivated scientific content producer to join our growing marketing department. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in scientific communications, then we want to work with you. Your work will include planning and producing content that communicates Owkin’s science in the most creative and impactful way possible. Our science is diverse: machine learning, federated learning, computational biology, drug discovery, and the list goes on. You’ll work in a dynamic marketing team and interface with a passionate group of scientists.

In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of content production: the planning, scoping, script-writing, overseeing of production, post- production and campaign-creation.

This role will support announcements, events, partnerships, product launches in the key areas of the business inc. R&D, Diagnostics, and Data Platform with impactful content that will resonate with a breadth of audiences - biopharma, scientists, academic partners, investors, talent.


In particular, you will:

  • Project manage multimedia (video/podcast/etc) production from ideas to delivery
  • Work with marketing leads to identify video needs
  • Devise video concepts in response to an initial brief or idea, determining the best way to tell the story and sharing recommendations with team members
  • Create scripts / storyboards and briefing documents for videographers and subjects
  • Work with external video agencies, from briefing to delivery of final product
  • Manage shoots on-site with videographers
  • Liaise with editors and internal stakeholders throughout the post production process
  • Produce a range of video styles from animated videos, to talking heads / interview videos, and hybrid pieces
  • Deliver video content in the relevant formats for the company’s sharing platforms and social media
  • Managing the company’s video sharing platforms
  • Store and catalogue audio/video material for archiving/reusing purposes
  • Advise on video best practice


Position is based in our London office.


About you

Required qualifications / experience:

  • Extensive experience in the industry
  • Ability to communicate scientific concepts to audiences with different levels of science literacy
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices in video production and post-production
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders at the same time
