About Diagnostics at Owkin

Our ambition is to potentiate precision diagnosis in oncology with artificial intelligence applied to digital pathology. Pathology slide images, taken from biopsied or resected tissues, are a yet-untapped, ultra-high dimensional data modality that offer a huge potential for deep learning application to better understand disease, optimize patient care & improve treatment decisions.
We have for instance developed two products based on AI and digital pathology to tackle major challenges in precision oncology:
The first one is about evaluating the risk of relapse in early breast cancer for a better adaptation of the therapeutic strategy.
The second one is about decreasing the burden of MSI screening for patients with Colorectal cancer. If detected, the MSI phenotype leads to a very specific care pathway with a treatment based on immunotherapy improving the chance of survival for the patient.

The Sales Director France & Benelux - Diagnostics will be accountable for selling these diagnostic solutions to pathology labs across France & Benelux, as well as providing feedback for the overall go-to-market strategy.

Overall, this role will be key in rolling out our world class AI products, as well as scaling the business.Owkin has a significant and growing presence in Europe and the United States.

Main Missions

  • Help define the France & Benelux sales strategy, organize and build efficient sales practices
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, help introduce our diagnostic products to French & Benelux clients and elaborate the product differentiation pitch to customers
  • Attend events that drive new business
  • Generate leads and follow up on leads that come from other team members
  • Present our products and technology to potential clients in France & Benelux
  • Proactively develop and close clinical deals, managing the business agreement negotiation
  • Manage the customer relationship post deal and grow the business for existing customers
  • Collaborate with the rest of the commercial team to build and refine diagnostic products launch plan
  • Proactively identify sales pipeline risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Serve as a voice of the customer of all their challenges/opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate statutes for clinical engagement

Preferred experience:

  • Proven sales experience in healthcare, pathology and clinical institutions
  • You have product launch experience
  • You are familiar with diagnostics and molecular testing
  • You have sales acumen and a natural capacity to build relationships
  • Experience with digital pathology or novel AI diagnostics is a plus
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
  • You are hands-on, experienced, proactive, independent, articulate and possess a good sense of humour, integrity and professionalism
  • You have an ability to work in cross functional team, willing to collaborate with marketing, commercial, development and regulatory teams
  • You are fluent in English and French, and ideally Dutch
  • You are passionate about innovative research and AI the for the future of precision medicine
